Stage & layers

Compose text, images, timers and polls on a responsive 1920×1080 stage.

Layer types

Text — font, size, weight, alignment, capitalization, fill, outline, letter spacing; can embed [Variable] placeholders. Save looks as named text styles and apply them anywhere.

Image — uploaded or library images with fit modes (contain / cover / fill / 9-slice); can bind to a table variable for live swaps.

Video — uploaded clips (or imported from a link) play in sync on every screen; trim, fade and audio options per clip.

QR code — links to your room's audience view by default, or any custom URL; colours and error-correction are adjustable.

Timer — counts up or down with several formats.

Poll / results — renders a live question with bars, or a final tally.

Background — a full-screen image behind all other layers for the sequence.

Selecting & transforming layers

Click a layer to select it; Shift/⌘-click adds or removes it from the selection.

Drag on empty canvas to marquee-select — every layer the rectangle touches is selected (Shift/⌘ adds to the current selection). A plain empty-canvas click deselects everything.

Move, scale (uniform or per-axis), rotate and fade layers; set the anchor to control the pivot.

Nest layers so a child transforms relative to its parent.

Use the on-canvas gizmo to drag, scale from handles and rotate; multi-select to align and distribute.

Note

A colour clip's full-screen background image is scenery, not a layer — it can't be selected or moved on the canvas. Edit it from the colour clip's inspector instead.

Canvas navigation

The preview is a pannable, zoomable viewport — zoom right in for pixel-accurate nudging, then reset with one click.

Two-finger scroll

Pan the canvas

Pinch / ⌘ + scroll

Zoom about the cursor

Middle-mouse drag

Pan (works over layers too)

Reset view

Back to 100% — the badge appears bottom-right whenever you're panned/zoomed

Tip

Everything keeps working while zoomed — dragging, marquee selection and gizmo handles all track the cursor exactly, and the handles stay the same size on screen.

Text: styles, capitalization & wrapping

Named text styles

Save a text layer's look — font, size, weight, spacing, casing, fill and outline — as a named style, then apply it to any other text layer in the room. Styles never touch position, animation, box size or the words themselves.

1

Select a text layer and style it the way you want.

2

In the inspector's Text style section, type a name and hit Save new.

3

Select any other text layer and pick the style from the Apply style… dropdown.

4

To change a style later: restyle a layer, select the style in the dropdown and hit Update (edit the name first to rename it). Every sequence in the room shares the same styles.

Capitalization

Next to the L / C / R alignment buttons: as typed, AA UPPERCASE, aa lowercase, Aa Capitalize Each Word. It's a display setting — your typed text (and live [Variable] values) are transformed on screen without being rewritten.

Wrapped text

No-wrap hugs the text; Wrap flows lines to the container width (drag the box edges, or let a stretch anchor set the width).

Wrapped lines are automatically balanced — line lengths even out instead of leaving a short last line.

With an explicit box height, vertical alignment (top / middle / bottom) places the block inside it.

Responsive layout & guides

The stage is designed at 1920×1080 and scales to each device without stretching. Anchor each axis to start, center, end or stretch, with fractional offsets, so layouts hold up on any screen.

Toggle safe-area overlays (legacy / SMPTE / EBU) to keep content clear of edges.

Z-order follows the painter's algorithm — the top track renders frontmost.
